Styling Pieces from the Alon Collection

After curating and sourcing for several months, we are so thrilled to finally launch the first wave of pieces for the exclusive Alon Collection that you can shop in-studio and online. We have searched far and wide for products that evoke joy and exude character, not only for our space but for the homes of those they will eventually be with.

Our design ethos is to bring forward narrative-driven pieces that can be effortlessly integrated into your unique abodes. We focused on organic shapes, conversation starters, and most of all visually arresting moments that stand the test of time.

To complement the launch, we have styled several pieces from the collection to serve as inspiration for your next styling session.

Paper Mache Bowls

These paper mache bowls have been a popular decor piece for a while, but we adore their perfectly textured surfaces. They may look like clay but are actually composed of recycled paper which means they are much lighter for placing on top of shelves and other furniture. The bowls have a primitive look and serve as unexpected accents to otherwise neutral spaces.

We love mixing them with other textures and materials. On the right, it sits on top of our travertine coffee table with books and other organic elements. Another bowl is sitting on our hutch as a focal point for the middle shelf.

Vintage Vessels

There is no shortage of vintage vessels at Alon Studio. We have various shapes, sizes, forms and tones. Each piece is made using different techniques and sourced from different parts of the world. There is a unique history to unearth with every vessel. For instance, we found a French “gargoulette” that was once used to hold and pour water. It was utilized for keeping liquids cool and perfect for workers who laboured under the hot sun.

You likely won’t be using them as a water jug like the French did but they are certainly a versatile decor piece for your home. For functional purposes, we have used them as bookends, candle holders, or simply anchoring items on shelves and benches.

Onyx Catchall

When we found this onyx catchall, we were drawn by the imperfection and rawness of its shape. The veins throughout reminded us of sandy beaches. In other words, it was a very “Alon” piece. The whole purpose of a catchall is to be able to place whatever your heart desires within.

The first styling moment is placing some candles and using it as a dish. On a more practical note, you can also use it to place your phone, keys and favourite jewelry pieces. The possibilities are endless.

Candle holders

Candle holders add height and dimension to your decor. We have sourced various designs and materials, from iron to brass. The different types also allow for creativity when choosing candles.

We love mixing in long tapered styles with round or custom-shaped candles. Some corners of the room call for a single candle holder but others work well with pairs or trios.

We hope you gathered some ideas and fill your home with meaningful pieces that speak to you. Until the next one!

With Love and Warmth,

Erielle & Marzia
